Food is on the ballot in Brazil’s contentious presidential vote on Wednesday.
Election results are expected at 10am local time as voters across the world watch.
The election has been hotly contested and been called for by the Workers Party, which is in government, following a period of political turmoil.
Here is a breakdown of the key numbers:
Voters: 7.5 million registered to vote on Monday, the same as in 2015. Another 4.8 million have registered to vote on election day.
The turnout is expected to be low. If it is over the 10 percent threshold, two-thirds of registered voters will have cast their vote.
The turnout in the first round of last month’s election was estimated to be between 16.6 percent and 17.2 percent.
